Term 2 Year 2 - Experimental painting class

Mucking around with mixing oil paint and watery acylics.

Fun, like the element of not knowing how it will turn out, very messy. But I feel a WHOLE painting like this is a bit too much. Looked at Ian Mackeever and Gerhard Richter as examples. I guess you could paint over in sections to calm these down a bit. Or use masking which you would peel off somehow afterwards.

Played around with a couple of them

And collaged some black and white photography into them, which the paint responds to. Probably the road one works best.

I think when you use collage properly you have to image transfer it to the board rather than stick it down with Pritt stick which goes wavy.
